From our PEOPLE
Really nice restaurant with very fresh, very authentic flavours. We ordered Mantu and Borani to start, with lamb shish, baby chicken karahi and qabuli as mains, and dogh/ayran to drink. The mantu and borani were excellent, and we really enjoyed the karahi and shish too. We were too full to pay much attention to the qabuli but it was also well prepared. The service is super nice, with everyone on the team ensuring you've been taken care of, and it feeling like a family restaurant. The decor is also just really pleasant. Highly recommend for anyone in the area and even though it required more than an hour of travel for me, I'd try and visit again!

a month agoIt's a lovely restaurant to be fair. Very well laid out. I was met by smiley faces and given a booth at the back which could accommodate my three friends and I. It took 6 mins to put in an order for a Mint Tea which arrived fairly swiftly. But my friends ordered a drink which didn't arrive until the food arrived. Food was nicely laid out but neither hot or tasty.

2 months agoHad an amazing dining experience at Mantu in London. The food was absolutely outstanding — everything from the presentation to the flavours felt rich and authentic. The lamb skewers were perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavour, and the rice was light, fragrant and paired beautifully with the mains. The variety on the table was impressive — from fresh salads to creamy dips and sides, everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The portions were generous, making it ideal for sharing. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a really nice aesthetic that adds to the overall experience. It felt like a proper sit-down meal rather than just casual dining. Service was smooth and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, one of the best spots I’ve tried in London for this kind of cuisine — definitely worth visiting.

2 months agoThe food at Mantu restaurant was delicious, authentic and high of quality. Everything was made fresh and it was evident in the taste. The interiors are aesthetically designed and inspired by Afghanistan - there’s even a traditional seating area!!! And of course, the Mantus were amazing. Highly recommend visiting and trying the Kabuli Palao, kebabs, Afghan bread and the Mantus :)

4 months agoI visited Mantu, and their interior was absolutely stunning, it truly transported me back to Afghanistan. The attention to detail was incredible. I enjoyed the Afghan soup, Qabuli Palaw, and Mantu. And to top it off, the red velvet cake was simply amazing! Definitely recommend everyone to visit!
